We are looking for a full time Teacher of Economics to join a popular department at this wonderful academy school in Greenwich.

You will be required to teach Economics at KS4 and A-Level and having experience delivering this is essential.

the school is a notably successful academic school with a distinctive ethos and an enviable reputation for pastoral work as well as for sport, music, drama and other co-curricular activities. They have also recently completed a major school development project.

Economics is a very popular Sixth Form subject option, with examination results to match. There are usually over forty pupils studying Economics in each year of the Sixth Form, and many of them choose to study the subject at universities, including Oxbridge and other Russell Group institutions. The ability to teach a second subject may be a strong advantage for the ideal candidate.

Applications are equally welcomed from experienced and newly-qualified teachers. The school offers a statutory induction programme for NQTs and its own salary scale which is well above that of the maintained sector. This post may also be suitable for a new entrant to the profession who does not currently hold a teaching qualification; the school offers full training towards Qualified Teacher Status.
