Are you a university graduate looking to begin a career in teaching?
Would you be interested in an opportunity to get quality training and valuable experience on top of a competitive salary and no course fees?
The Teaching Apprenticeship Programme is a salaried, fee- free route into teacher training that offers school-based teacher training leading to QTS. As a Secondary School Teacher Trainee, you will be given the opportunity to teach the subject you’re passionate about in a school environment whilst receiving the support and guidance from experience teachers who will assist in your training.
This year-long programme will see a Secondary School Teacher Trainee building up your teaching responsibility and confidence in the classroom from day one, complemented by off-site training days and a support network of experience educators.
In addition to this quality training, a Secondary School Teacher Trainee will receive a salary that is paid in line with an unqualified teacher and you won’t have to worry about paying course fees.
Entry Requirements for a Secondary School Teacher Trainee:
- A 2:2 degree or higher in a relevant discipline
- GCSE grades C or above in English and Maths
- Residence in the UK for the past three years (consecutively)
- The ability to inspire and motivate secondary school students
