The post holder provides specialised advice and support to the Department of Psychology units (Health Psychology & BSc Psychology) based on Guy’s Campus, working closely with academic and professional services staff, building good working relationships and contributing effectively to the work and development of the Department as a whole, deputising for the Business Manager where required.

He/she will be the administrative lead for the Units and ensure that operational processes are set up and maintained in line with University policy and procedures, including representing KCL Health & Safety and responsible for matters concerning Estate & Facilities. The post holder will give policy guidance and training to staff on any new systems or processes.

There will also be management of running Unit budgets, advice on research grants (applications and post award), HR contracts and recruitment, Unit space, facilities, new starters induction and PhD studentships.

The post holder will work with a high degree of autonomy, be responsible for financial permissions & signature at Guy’s Campus and provide financial and resource information to the Business Manager and Head of Department to assist in strategic decision making and long term planning.
